K DA GREAT X XTATIC
The first project under the QR8 brand got us working with KdaGr8t, a seasoned producer working out of a home studio in Nairobi. We paired him with Xtatic, one of Kenyas most prolific female artists. The product from this collaboration was a three track EP titled TATU.

DILLIE X TOFA JAXX
Our second project was quite interesting. We bridged the East African borders and collaborated with (the dopest) Singer/Songwriter and live performer from Tanzania, @tofa.jaxx . His music is a mixture of genres including Soul, Jazz, R&B and traditional African music. We paired him with one of the illest producers in Africa @houseofdillie and the result was pure magic. This EP is an ode to the middle eight, thus it was titled – MIDDLE 8
.
In music theory, the middle eight is a common type of bridge. And for y’all who still don’t understand, it refers to a section of a song with a significantly different melody and lyrics thus creating a sonic contrast. All song on this project have a Middle 8.

PRVK. X MAYA AMOLO
Our third installment of the QR8 series is nothing short of incredible. It starts with an eves-dropper in a toilet during a Kelele Sessions break, and ended with a classic musical masterpiece. Maya [@mayaamolo] had arrangements, lyrics and melodies already on deck. Challenge accepted! We paired her with the master @kevinprovoke and as they say, the rest is history. Accompanied by some fire beats from @leslie_zani and @kamauwithsunflowers. Maya Amolo presents Leave Me At The Pre-game aka LMATP.

MUTORIAH X THEONLYROSA
Edition 4 of the QR8 series has to be our most exciting EP to date. It started off as a match between @theonlyrosa and Super Producer @mutoriah. But as we progressed, @theonlyrosaappetite to record could not match with @mutoriah s super busy schedule, so we called in the QR8 Commission (@kevinprovoke@kdagr8est @houseofdillie@kamaukamikaze) to do what they do best. @mutoriah set the mood of the project and The Commission simulated. @theonlyrosa over-delivered at every opportunity and we are happy to share our work WAVES with the world.
